There has been a church presence in the Pitlochry area since at least the 7thcentury, with successive parish church buildings located at the nearby village of Moulin. Since 1989 congregational activities have been centred on the Pitlochry Church which was built in 1884 for the benefit of the growing population following the construction of the railway.
